30.1.09 10.18am Quick visit to the shed area to see the Q6 63395, the like of which I had never seen before, but it was inaccesible to photograph at this time. The Stanier 8F carries the number 48773 for this weekend. It was brewing up although not scheduled to work today.

30.1.09 10.20am Sir Lamiel smokes quietly in the shed with a 'not to be moved' sign, which was to become very significant later on.

30.1.09 12.19pm An hour and a half since my previous photo. The 11.30am departure ran 25 mins late headed by the Stanier 8F tender first. News filtered down the line that Sir Lamiel had failed. Here 70013 near to Quorn with the next service.

30.1.09 12.48pm The north-facing 48773 punches the air as it leaves Quorn for Loughborough. Lovely sharp sound to the exhaust as the crew endeavour to make up some time.
