An all-too-brief visit on the morning of 23.5.09 to the LBNGR for their WWI weekend 'Narrow Gauge At War'. 3 engines in steam, on a freight train and a double-headed passenger train. The main running days will be Sunday and Monday. Very enjoyable though short visit.
A unique gathering of World War I locomotives from USA, France, Germany and others.

23.5.09 10.46am The mature trees make Pages Park station a very pleasant place. The loco shed on the right. Greedy developers threatened to destroy this spot at one time. Thank God common sense has prevailed, although there is still a threat of urban development on the rural stretch of the line.
